Does Tiempo Gallery offer international shipping?
Yes. Tiempo Gallery ships worldwide from Bali, including to the United States, Europe, and Asia. We handle export packaging, documentation, and freight, and coordinate delivery with DHL with full shipment insurance. After production (up to four weeks), delivery averages 3 to 5 days door to door.

Where can I find handcrafted modern organic furniture made in Bali?
Tiempo Gallery is a Bali-based studio, founded in 2004, that handcrafts modern organic furniture in solid teak, suar, and mango wood, plus natural stone, in its Jimbaran workshop. Pieces are available at shop.tiempogallery.com and on 1stDibs, and we ship worldwide.

How do I order custom furniture from artisans in Bali?
Ordering custom furniture from Tiempo Gallery works in four steps. (1) Send your dimensions, reference photos, or a sketch through our contact page. (2) We confirm the design, size, and finish with you. (3) Our artisans build your piece in Bali, with standard production up to four weeks. (4) We pack it for export and ship with DHL, fully insured.

What does “modern organic” mean?
Modern organic design pairs clean, bold forms with natural materials left close to their raw state. At Tiempo Gallery, that means solid wood and stone pieces that keep visible grain, texture, and the marks of hand carving rather than a polished, uniform finish.

Who designs and builds your furniture?
A dedicated team of artisans and designers at our Bali workshop designs and sculpts each made-to-order piece.

What is the difference between suar and teak wood?
Both are hardwoods we use at Tiempo Gallery. Suar (also known as monkeypod or rain tree) is prized for its large, flowing grain and contrasting tones, which suits sculptural statement pieces. Teak is dense and naturally oily, with a warm golden tone and a reputation for durability.

Do you use reclaimed or sustainably sourced wood?
Our hardwoods are ethically sourced. Our timber comes from certified sources and is legally verified under SVLK

Will my solid wood piece crack or change over time?
Solid wood is a natural material that responds to humidity. Small movement, fine grain lines, and slight color variation are normal and part of the character of each piece. Our wood is [kiln-dried / seasoned] before carving, and we recommend keeping it away from direct heat and extremely dry air.

Are your stone and marble pieces natural?
Yes. Our riverstone is sourced from riverbeds in Java, and our marble and stone pieces are carved from solid natural stone. Every piece differs in color, pattern, and texture, so yours may look slightly different from the photos. Stone is heavy, so we pack and ship it with extra care.

Can I use your furniture outdoors?
Our pieces are designed for indoor use. Teak and stone can handle covered outdoor spaces, but direct weather exposure will change the finish.

Is each piece exactly like the photos?
Each Tiempo Gallery piece is hand-carved from natural material, so grain, tone, and detail vary slightly from piece to piece, and no two are identical. It is a standard practice of ours to send additional photos or short video of the actual piece before it ships.

What’s the difference between ready-to-ship, made-to-order, and one-of-a-kind pieces?
Made-to-order pieces are built for you with standard production up to four weeks. One-of-a-kind pieces are singular, selected or made once and not repeated. Our ready to ship pieces are items that we have in stock which are ready to ship within 5 working days

Can I request a custom size, finish, or design?
Yes. We offer sizing adjustments and finish variations, and we accept fully custom orders. Send your dimensions, reference photos, or a sketch, and we’ll confirm what’s possible and give you a quote.

Can I see a finish sample before ordering?

Yes. We can send photos or a short video of finish options, and physical samples are available for orders over $5,000

How do I get a quote?

Do you offer rush production?
Standard production is up to four weeks. Please contact us for urgent timelines, and we’ll tell you what’s realistic.

How much does shipping to the United States cost?
Shipping cost depends on size, weight, and destination, so we quote it for each order after confirming your piece and address.

Do I pay import duties and taxes?
